Maple Warm Pudding Recipe

Directions

1. In a small bowl mix ½ cup of cold milk with the cornstarch.
2. Put the remaining 2 cups of milk, maple sugar and salt in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.
3. Cook just until mixture begins to steam.
4. Add the cornstarch mixture-cook, stirring occasionally, until the mixture starts to thicken and barely reaches a boil, about 5 minutes.
5. Immediately reduce heat to very low and stir for 5 minutes or so until thick.
6. Remove the pudding from the heat and stir in the butter and vanilla extract.
7. Spoon the pudding into individual jars or ramekins and let cool slightly.
8. Top with jam, compote, fresh fruit and a little fresh whipped cream!
