Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups - Whole milkÂ

â…” cups - Pure Granulated Maple Sugar
- ½ tsp - saltÂ
- 1 tsp - Vanilla extractÂ
- 3 tbsp - CornstarchÂ
- 2 tbsp - unsalted butter, softened
- Strawberry Jam
- Fresh Whipped Cream
Directions
- In a small bowl mix ½ cup of cold milk with the cornstarch.
- Put the remaining 2 cups of milk, maple sugar and salt in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.
- Cook just until mixture begins to steam.
- Add the cornstarch mixture-cook, stirring occasionally, until the mixture starts to thicken and barely reaches a boil, about 5 minutes.
- Immediately reduce heat to very low and stir for 5 minutes or so until thick.
- Remove the pudding from the heat and stir in the butter and vanilla extract.
- Spoon the pudding into individual jars or ramekins and let cool slightly.
- Top with jam, compote, fresh fruit and a little fresh whipped cream!
