3/4 ounce of rum or Kahlúa (½ shot)

4 1/2 hours of Horchata (3 shots)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup long grain white rice
  • 4 cups hot water
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/3 cup Ben’s maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups of evaporated milk, or dairy free substitute, almond, rice or coconut milk
  • Vodka
  • Rum or Kahlua
  • Ben’s Maple sugar and ground cinnamon for garnish

Directions

  1. Combine the rice, half of the hot water, and cinnamon sticks in a blender. Blend until course ground, add the remaining hot water and blend again.

  7. To make your Maple Horchata martini, combine 1 ½  ounces of vodka, 3/4 ounce of rum, and 4 ½ ounces of Horchata in a shaker with ice.
  8. Shake your cocktail shaker vigorously, strain chilled martini into the prepared glass.
