Hello, maple lovers, and welcome back to our blog. If you're like most, you're thrilled that fall is finally here, which means all of the fall flavor favorites are in high demand at coffee shops, eateries, and bakeries. In our recent post, we looked at some of the ways to celebrate the fall season and, in today's post, we'd like to stick with the fall trend by exploring some of the ways maple is on a steady path to replacing pumpkin spice as a top fall favorite. Let's begin looking at some of the most popular maple products to try this fall, shall we?
Maple-Inspired Coffees
If you've visited a Starbucks or your local coffee house recently, you probably saw maple-flavored lattes on the menu. Maple and coffee or espresso go hand-in-hand, and if you think the maple syrup might make for an extra sweet morning pick-me-up, think again. Surprisingly, maple-infused lattes are actually not as sweet as you might think; in many cases, they are a lot less sweet and intense than say, a pumpkin spice latte or a white chocolate mocha. Try making one at home using a dab of our Pure Maple Cream, a sprinkle of our Pure Maple Sugar, or mix in a spoonful of our Pure Maple Syrup.
Maple-Infused Adult Beverages
Fall is the best time for enjoying warm, adult beverages to warm up your bones as you sit by the fireplace. And with the holidays just around the corner, maple-infused boozy beverages are perfect for entertaining guests. Infusing whiskey with maple syrups is actually really easy. Get a bottle of a nice rye whiskey, a mason jar, and Ben's Pure Maple Syrup. Mix one cup of whiskey and one cup of maple syrup in the mason jar, seal it up tight, and give it a good shake. Refrigerate the maple whiskey or keep it stored at room temperature. Can one ounce to a cup of tea with a cinnamon stick for a new take on the classic Hot Toddy. You can even pour it over a few cubes of ice for a maple whiskey on the rocks, or create a Maple Manhattan. Either way, the maple whiskey is sure to keep you toasty and warm on a cool autumn night.
