Ben’s Sugar Shack is expanding its production space and moving up the road alongside Route 101 in Temple NH. With the expansion comes a new store called The Maple Station Market that will feature all of our maple products and much more. As you approach the store you will walk under a hand crafted post and beam farmers porch that will open up into a 3000 sq. ft. space that will include just about everything you will need to make a meal at home or a quick bite for the road.
Our intention is to showcase all the types of food products that have maple syrup in them and to offer as many local products we can. The vocal point when entering the store will be a “mini” sugar shack inside our store that will display all of our pure maple products. Once you veer right you will be surrounded with fresh produce and fresh baked items from well know local farms and bakeries. As you walk past the farm fresh produce you will see a variety of meat, poultry and seafood products from New England farms both frozen and fresh options. Of course our frozen section will include ice cream and other frozen staple items. Just wait until you see the snack section and all the offerings between amazing chips you can’t find just anywhere, the best chocolate covered nuts and amazing snack mixes. Once you look up from all the snack options you will see our full service deli that will offer Boar’s Head sliced meats and cheeses, home-made salads like pasta salad and chicken salad, hot and fresh rotisserie chicken for an easy home meal, ready to bake entrees like lasagna and chicken alfredo and more. We will have pre-made sandwiches for lunch with an option to customize and build a sandwich the way you like it at our sub bar! On your way to work or school make sure you stop by for a quick maple breakfast sandwich and maple latte or cold brew coffee starting at 6 a.m.
Our free maple tours will be offered throughout the year where you can learn the process, see production and if it is in March you will be able to see the sap flowing directly into the sugarhouse and Ben running his new evaporator. From the market you will be able to watch us make maple candy through the windows that will be right next to the maple donut machine. Yes you heard that right, we will have maple sugar and maple cream donuts all year. Last but not least, we will offer our famous maple creemee year-round (for those who don’t know a creemee is a maple soft serve ice cream). The Maple Station Market is hoping to open its doors to everyone by the end of October. There will be something for everyone and we can’t wait to provide fresh food to the community.
